Geger Sawangan Beach - Review
This is a pretty standard beach in the Nusa Dua area in Bali. Facing the east, the beach is best at sunrise, when all is quiet, cool and magical. The water is clean and the sand is white. The waves at the beach are quite decent you’ll frequently spot surfers in the water. Communities of seaweed farmers can be seen tending to their produce. But as with nearly all beaches on the island, this one too has a quirk, a unique selling point. For some reasons some private operatives have seen fit to establish camel safaris outfits on the beach. The rides last about an hour and are decent fun. Other amenities include massage services and food vendors.

Geger Sawangan Beach, Bali Reviews
Right on the beach in front of the beautiful sea. You can see a temple on the right side. They do serve you drinks/food at a very affordable price. You have to pay an entrance fee + for the sun beds but it’s not expensive and really worth it. We had a perfect day here, relaxing and enjoying the views!
Picturesque white sand beach, lots of options with resorts and local Warungs. However the ocean itself was full of weed and debris when we visited. Not sure if that was just a one off or normal? Seriously though, this is the place to visit at sunrise. Amazing. Make sure you come at least 30 minutes before actual sunrise time as that is the most beautiful colours in the sky, if you’re here at low tide they are amazing as reflected on the glassy water.
Love it to be here. The place is too crowded and very secure. You may just simply leave your valuable belongings and jump to the beach..
Entrance fee is IDR 3.000/person. Great place for relax snorkeling. Very calm shallow water full of seaweed and cute puffer fishes. There are several nice cafes, massage services at the beach, and fishing spot. Part of the beach located right behind Mulia Hotel guarded by a bunch of somewhat over reacted security team. They will treat anyone walking in front of their property as threat. Don't walk you dog there, they don't want it.
i would highly recommend this beach if you want something more low key and quiet. the water seems a bit warmer than the kuta/seniyak area. the beach was really clean and there are not as many people around. the water is more calm and if you are not a fan of the giant waves in kuta.
