Newearth Haven, Bali Reviews
Amazingly beautiful venue, super nice staff, delicious and nutritious food and lots of thought and consciousness behind the whole concept. I'm extremely impressed. :)
Beautiful bamboo architecture, amazing food and a great laid back vibe - 1 of my favourite places in Ubud.
Good place, nice view. Good food, healthy food
I would agree with Rachel's review. I stayed two nights in one of the domes/huts, and to me it was a 5 star experience, but you need to keep in mind it is not a 5 star hotel (neither is the price). If you are going to Bali for a pool Villa experience, this is a different story. If you already have done some nice Villa resorts and trying to figure out whats new/next, this is a good idea. Design is cool, also eco friendly, you sleep in the middle of the countryside with all the associated noises at nights (frogs, birds, roosters, ducks come visit at 6am..). You can still get breakfast delivered to your room (vegetarian but tasty, like pancakes). Then rent a motorbike for like usd6 and move around, go see coffee shops, chocolate farms, etc. The 'restaurant/bar' area, which is like 300m from the hut, is interesting, very hippy (maybe theres a different word), with people talking about meditation and things like that. Saturday night they do a party from 6pm (music off by 10pm ish).
We stayed here for two nights while visiting Ubud and really enjoyed it. We stayed in an eco lodge. We booked via AirBnB and Lodra (the owner) was very helpful and welcoming. The lodge was exactly as described. It's in the middle of a rice field, so you have to be prepared for some creepy crawlies! We had some fun animal visitors, including a snake one morning. Would stay well away if that isn't your kind of thing. The range of food was quite limited from the bar, but service was very good and all the staff were very helpful. The best bit was seeing the village and some more 'real' Balinese life, while.bing very close to Ubud.
