Ballarat Bird World - Review
One of the most popular things to do in Ballarat, the Ballarat Bird World is a favorite of regular visitors. It is home to a whopping number of two hundred Australian and overseas Birds, which is considered to be a rare chance to get to experience vivid Australian colors. Secondly it is the fantastic walkway that spans at around a kilometer with varying inclinations. The manmade waterfall is a lovely site too to see in here after all the bird watching!

Ballarat Bird World, Ballarat Reviews
A little disappointing. Only saw two birds in open area( can't control that I know) and all the caged birds, beautiful variety, looked a little lifeless. It would be nice to see the birds with more things in their cages. Like a little tree with branches and leaves not just a stump, standing bird bath, things to chew on and hang off etc. It has some real potential. The walks ways and pond are beautiful.
They have a variety of Beautiful Parrots but they are caged in run down, barren, uninspiring cages, which aren't very great for photos. There is a free flight Aviary which has a handful of birds in a native setting, that are good for photos. The Boardwalk that takes you around the property needs a bit of updating with clearer signs. We spent $24 entry and It took us 15 mins to walk around, only because we stopped to take a few photos in the Aviary. I wouldn't go again.
This little place has so much potential. The parrot life is diverse and delightful with all the old favourites, and you will be amazed at the beauty of some of the lesser known species. The surrounding bushland is lovely and peaceful. The establishment itself is obviously rundown and in need of refurbishment, but don't let that put you off. The birds are well cared for, which is the most important thing. It has recently changed hands and the new managers are working hard to give the place the love it needs. Give them a chance, keep your expectations modest and you won't be disappointed.
Really nice place to go. Ramped walkways. Tremendous environment. Beautiful trees. The birds are fantastic. Great little shop and good coffee
So much work went into building bird world. The owner has handed running it to his family. I highly recommend visiting its well worth it.
