One of the most popular things to do in Ballarat, the Ballarat Bird World is a favorite of regular visitors. It is home to a whopping number of two hundred Australian and overseas Birds, which is considered to be a rare chance to get to experience vivid Australian colors. Secondly it is the fantastic walkway that spans at around a kilometer with varying inclinations. The manmade waterfall is a lovely site too to see in here after all the bird watching!

  • Great way to get closer to some Australian birds. The Major Mitchell was amazing. One of the most talkative I have ever seen. So many other birds to see along with an impressive collection of black cockatoos.

  • Very nice place. Our daughter loves coming back to this place. Good variety of birds. Walking trail, water falls and feeding the fish was just amazing. Not crowded which makes it very comfortable for families. Highly recommend this place.

  • What this guy has created is not a theme park, but a habitat for native birds and wildlife with the bonus observing a colourful collection of native and exotic birds. If you're as lucky as we were when we visited you might even get to see an echidna! A little cafe with slices, ice creams and barista made coffee make this a great place visit on a weekend or even as a meeting place with friends. A beautiful man-made waterfall and free flight aviary are just the cherry on top of the cuttlebone!

  • A little disappointing. Only saw two birds in open area( can't control that I know) and all the caged birds, beautiful variety, looked a little lifeless. It would be nice to see the birds with more things in their cages. Like a little tree with branches and leaves not just a stump, standing bird bath, things to chew on and hang off etc. It has some real potential. The walks ways and pond are beautiful.

  • Really nice place to go. Ramped walkways. Tremendous environment. Beautiful trees. The birds are fantastic. Great little shop and good coffee
