The Blood on the Southern Cross is a performance that you will see nowhere else. It is a fantastic light and sound show that depicts the burning down of the Eureka Hotel. It depicts the war between the gold traders of Australia against the government. It shows how the frustrated gold traders reacted to the ever-increasing gold taxes and burnt down the hotel out of anger. It is shows how the government reacted by declaring a dawn war on the opponents. The men who swore to respect their soil were killed down first as they put up a flag that belonged to the Southern Cross and not to the British at all.

  • What an amazing experience. The show was full of professionalism, dedication and passion to bring you the past historical events. It was nothing like what I envisaged but nevertheless we were awestruck by this show. Gets very cold here in winter so rug up really well and enjoy the ride. Its a pity that this amazing show is wrapping up this year, so I have heard, not sure if this is true though unless someone can confirm that 2018 is indeed the last!!!!

  • What a spectacular experience this was, the amount of dedication the staff put into this event is unbelievable. If you haven't been since you were a kid, 100% recommend to check this out. I will say that it seemed the kids under 10 seemed to be a bit scared/bored/tired (as this is a night time outdoor event) so perhaps for the older kids. The fact you get to see Sovereign Hill out of the standard hours, and the ride on the carts they have take you to an area you don't get to see during the day. Would again 100% recommend to go if you haven't had the opportunity to see this one. Loved every minute.

  • Very very well done. Loved the Christmas in July theme. And the live diarama was brilliant

  • Show was ok, meal was very average plus you didnt get what was on the menu which is on the website and the portions where very small. Could do a lot better with the show as well actors would help as well as a shortened show... think before going again

  • Excellent show for adults and kids but rug up it's very cold
