Overview of Kong Lor Cave

The Tham Kong Lo Cave is a karst limestone cave in Laos. The karst formations are famous and have often been cited as geological wonders. The cave is seven kilometers long with the Nam Hin Bun River flowing through it. Floating on the waters slowly engulfed by the darkness of the cave is an otherworldly experience. The center of the cave has a bright green emerald pond which is considered sacred by the locals. It is said to reflect the skin of the Hindu God, Indra.
