This mosque is a symbol of the perseverance, nationalism and struggle of the Acehnese people in Indonesia. The architecture is of Mughal Revival Style. There are seven Black Domes that are constructed from hardwood shingles combined as tiles. There are 8 minarets and 32 pillars in this mosque. To the interior, you will see relieved wall and pillars, ornate wooden doors and bronze chandeliers. The Marble staircase and the floor are from China. The beautiful Stained-glass windows are from Belgium and the building stone is from Netherlands. The serene and peaceful atmosphere and the wonderful designs of the mosque will keep you hooked.
