The Royal Regalia Building was built in 1992, in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It was originally named as “Churchill’s Museum”, as the father of the present Sultan was an admirer of Winston Churchill. This name was later changed to the current one in late 1992. The museum is a remembrance to the 25-year rule of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. The unusual story of these 25 years is described through various pictures, portraits, artifacts and descriptions. Amongst the artifacts is the ornate coronation crown, ceremonial weapons, jewelry, along with an exclusive exhibit of documents and treaties. The museum structure is a marvel in itself. This golden-domes structure is ornate with mosaic art, with the interiors covered in posh carpets. Visit the museum and get ready to be astonished by the grandeur.
