One of the best things about the Bow River is its accessibility. A popular tourist attraction, the Bow Falls are one of the most loved natural attractions of the Banff National Park. Unlike the conventional waterfalls, the water doesn’t cascade from a great height; the Bow Falls are wide and short, powerful all the same! During the summer, if you’re positioned correctly, you’ll see the mist rise and might also be caught in the spray that comes along with it.
- You could either rent a car, undertake the drive yourself or you could sign up for a tour.

Visit here again after 20 years. Last time we joined a tour. This time we drive by ourselves. Easy to find a parking spot. And have much freedom and time to enjoy the spectacular Bow Falls scene from different angles. It's so nice to see the roaring turbulent water with beautiful rainbow color on the mists, with stunning mountain view as the backdrop from this great view point!
Beautiful area! There’s tons of walking trails nearby but sadly not a lot of parking around, especially during peak times. It can get crazy busy so best to go early or later and not midday!
It is a beautiful place and suits for meeting with family or friends. #letsguide
If you go to Banff at all this is definitely a must see! It's free and amazing scenery the trails aren't too bad either
Beautiful place not far from downtown Banff. If you need a place to relax and enjoy view of the Bow river and surrounding mountains. It can get a bit crowdy with tourists but I guess that's everywhere in Banff. Just a few steps up hill from here is the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel or if you follow the river you'll get to Banff Springs Golf Course.
