  • No AC, but that is not surprising for banff, however the room was hot when we arrived they could have opened the window during the cold afternoons. The room has a nice look (renovated) but that is still an old hotel with bad sound isolation. The worst was certainly the mattress that was definitely not bought in the current century. Add to that a dirty shower floor with a hair left by cleaning. I was expecting way better for a hotel at that price. And FYI, room 251 has an incredible view on the hotel lobby AC unit on the roof.

  • We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group. Initially, we wanted to book a room at one of the more luxurious hotels (that being Fairmont Lake Louise or the Fairmont Banff Springs) but they were overbooked - and to be honest, I'm glad they were overbooked. This hotel is located in the town of Banff itself, so you are within walking distance to the shopping and dining area. The room we were given was large, and was separated into two floors - the lower floor was the bathroom and "living" space, while the upper floor was the beds. It was really thoughtful, and allows one of us to sleep while the other works on something downstairs without disturbance. The rooms were pretty modern style too.

  • Lovely hotel. Well decorated and well designed rooms. Docking a star because there was no air conditioning in the room and this was in the middle of summer! A great bonus is that this hotel is located close to the city centre. There is an IGA just across the street if you need any supplies.

  • Loved the rooms with the first and second floor, especially for noise sensitive sleepers. Recently renovated building made the hotel look very modern. Only complaints would have to be the use of fans instead of AC, which is understandable and the noise coming from the train station. Since there was no AC, we had to open the windows to let the air flow which led the noises to come in

  • The reception staff are some of the most polite and helpful I have encountered. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, and every worker you pass greets you in a friendly way. The vibe of this modern, comfy hotel is brilliant, and located at one end of the gorgeous main strip of Banff. I would happily stay there again if ever I'm in the area again!
