  • Great little hike if you didn’t want to do the big Sulfur mountain. It’s a short hike about 1 hour up and 1 hour down with a view of the town and the back side (golf course), and you can also see the Canadian Rockies and beautiful scenery. Trail is nicely paved and you’ll sweat a bit going up, but great exercise.

  • 1692 feet above sea level, this is a great hike for an hour long trip. The beginning is pretty hilly, and gets the legs working. The trail zigzags up the mountain and provides beautiful views of both Banff and the other side (Bow river valley?) water is a definite requirement on a sunny day!

  • Great "little" hike in Banff. Depending on how fit you are, you can make it to the top in about an hour and then back down in almost half that time. The views are spectacular for not too much effort. Since SO many people use it, the trail has some erosion in areas unfortunately, so it's important to stay on the trail where you can.

  • Good hike for a young family. Many 5-10 year olds were walking this hike at the same time. It has a decent slope but the paths are well manicured. I completed this hike with a 25lb child in a back pack carrier no problem. Lots of scenic view spots of Banff along the way.

  • Great beginner trails that can easily be completed up and down in an hour. It is a little steep for the first part and rocky for the second part but very doable. Gives you a great view of the town too!
