Vermilion Lakes - Review

If the east has Tunnel Mountain, the west of Banff has the Vermilion Lakes. Three rivers from the Bow Valley come together and form this spectacular body of water just outside of Banff. For any wildlife, photography enthusiast, the Vermilion Lakes is a perfect setting. The only possible downside here is that since it’s located along the highway, so it’s not as tranquil as you would imagine it to be. Nonetheless, it’s still the best place to spot some Canadian Rockies wildlife.

Vermilion Lakes, Banff Reviews

  • This place is small compared to other lakes. But still beautiful and majestic in nature. I wish you could stay here for a little bit longer. Bench ans shade will be good to add besides the lakes to attract more goers like me. I am happy and recommended this lake to escape crowd in Lake Louis. This is good alternative.

  • Relatively small and not very attractive compared to other lakes such as Lake Louie, Lake Moraine and Lake Minnewanka. If you simply just want a lake to bike around, this is the place.

  • Ate dinner on a bench and watched the sunset. Stunning. My picture does not give it justice.

  • Not very good and clean.

  • Great lakes to go kayaking.
