Formerly known as Wat Pho, this Buddhist temple which is now called Wat Pho Bang Khla is located 23 kms from the town of Chachoengsao. Built between 1767-1782 during the reign of King Taksin, the architecture of the temple carries the influence of Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin-style art. A peaceful place to visit when in Thailand, Wat Pho Bang Khla is considered to be one of the most interesting sights for locals and tourists alike. The temple is open daily from morning 6am to evening 6pm and if you are seeking some time in solace and offer your prayers, this is the perfect place for you.

If you love to see a thousand of flying foxes hang their head on the trees, this peaceful temple is the interesting one to visit. The temple are among forest of trees, river where the flying foxes live freely without disturbing.
It house an old 200+ yr sleeping Buddha.. Area where King taksin fought the Myanmar soldiers... A lot of bats.. Big one... On the tree.. Cool to view... It like van helsing movie... Hahaa.. ... Good for city guys to have a visit n small donation to the temple... Can be quite education for kids live view on bats then to the zoo in daylight condition...
