If you are in Thailand and looking to visit a Buddhism temple and offer your prayers, Wat Bang Kung in Bang Khonthi is where you must go. Built in the late 1700s in the influence of Ayutthaya, the temple building is designed to protect the Buddha. It involves four different types of plants such as Banyan, Bodhi, Krai and Krang. Located conveniently just miles away from the famous floating market, you can visit here with family and friends to experience peace and solace. The best time to visit this temple is in the morning, as it gets slightly crowded in the evening.

  • This is a small unique temple that has been completely surrounded by a giant tree. It quite interesting too look at from the outside. There are some other small statues around it. There is a zoo with lots of animals and some very odd things nearby which I guess are for raising interest from tour groups.

  • It's peaceful place. You can go into the temple, they provide free salon, so even you wear short pants or skirt. It's ok.

  • A very small n quiet temple in a remote part of Bangkok... They do have a house farm that u could take pic with up close...

  • Great historical place of previous king. Temple covered by tree is awesome.

  • It is one of the most extraordinary temples that I have ever visited before. It is a small rectangular-shaped temple where the outer structure is covered by root of trees around the temple. The main point of offering prayer is the golden Buddha Statue inside the temple. This temple is popular and sacred, so there was large crowd of locals as well as tourists. If you all visit this province, this is one of the temples you all should never miss it at all. For me, it was worth visiting such a spiritual temple. Entry fee: free Time of travel: September 2018
