Supported by the roots of four stout trees Bodhi (Pho), Banyan (Sai), Krang and Kai, the Wat Bang Kung or the Bot Prok Pho is a spiritual and an archaeological site. Built in Ayutthaya period, the Wat Bang Kung commemorates the battle. During the battle, the wall was built around the temple to protect it and let the spirit shower on the soldiers. The statue of the golden Buddha that resides inside the temple is called Luang Phot Bot Noi. Entering the hallway, you will see a mural depicting the story of Buddha.
