Small but good place for kids. Not maintained well and could have been better. Ticket is very cheap just ₹10. Aquarium is split in 2 floors. Located at the front of the Cubbon Park. You cannot spent more than 30 minutes here due to limited number of aquariums here. Hours: 10:00 to 17:30 (Except Mondays and Second Tuesdays)
Nice place to bring small learning kids here.. Ticket charges ₹10 is worth the efforts of the management.. Nice collection of fishes.. Good place for people who wants to explore more and more..
Nice old place to visit.. but been seeing the same fish from years now.. Not upgraded to good breeds of fish. Just the basic.. would love to see more exotic fish.
The Government Aquarium is located on the side of a very busy road. The cost of entry to the aquarium is quite cheap. The aquarium has two floors. It is dark and the railings that restrict the people from touching the aquarium aren't properly maintained. There isn't any staff to make sure that things are properly maintained in the aquarium.
The building looks unique, and is very accessible from the center of the town. The variety of fish, and the state of the individual tanks leaves a lot to be desired. Some tanks are empty, and nearly all the tanks are dull, with very little vegetation or aquascaping. Some tanks featured fish that were completely different from what they were claimed to be, and certain breeds were repeated across various tanks. Some tanks even had fish with visible health issues. The dingy interiors don't help. Even the name and description plaques next to the fish were unlit, with sparse information. Save yourself the trouble and visit pet shops around town, for a greater variety and a better experience.
