  • I have visited this place twice in the past two months. First time, it was for Safari and Butterfly park. There is a long wait for the safari and once you get on the bus, it ends pretty quick (maybe around half an hour). But you get to see the animals closer. Other than that, it is not so great when compared to the zoo. We could have avoided the butterfly park. Maybe the timing wasn't right as there were not many butterflies. My kids enjoyed the fishes there more than the butterflies. Zoo has a good number of animals, birds, etc. But my only concern is the maintenance of the path ways. Most of the time, you have to watch your step while looking at the animals. Some places have weird slopes in between the steps. It is easy to slip in those places. Senior citizens need to be extra extra careful.

  • Visited on a weekend. Parking in paved areas was full and had to park a little away. Considering the 47 Rs parking fees, they could improve a lot. Took the Safari + zoo option. Was a long wait at the ticket counter, followed by line to enter the gate and then waiting at safari pick up point. Safari in Non Ac buses are arranged in mid size buses which are grilled appropriately from outside and are maintained well. The safari takes you through earmarked areas for Deer, Elephant, Bear, tigers and lions. Takes about 35 min and staff spot and stop the buses for visitor's. After safari, you will have to enter the zoo again from main gate with the same ticket slip. There is lot of construction going on. Animals are okie in number. The pathways are all in shadow of trees and hence pleasant to walk around. Carry water from outside.

  • A good place to spend family on a weekend. And prime place to take your relatives when they are in town. You could get the feel and enjoy seeing animals roaming around the wilderness. Safari ride in the bus or the jeep will be a memorable ride, especially for the kids. You can get glimpse tigers enjoying the pool, see the lion walking past your jeep or see white tigers roaming. Also don't forget to visit the butterfly park as you can enjoy the serene ambience and as well see a lot of butterflies.

  • The zoo section is very good for kids to get introduced to various animals. Park is decently maintained. Safari ride here comes with guaranteed sightings unlike real jungle safaris 😊 though the tigers etc don't look wild enough. Haven't found any decent restaurants to eat anywhere nearby.

  • You can find rates for different rides in zoo, it a good place to visit every one who visited Bangalore. Don’t miss the butterfly past beside of the park, it will be separate from park not so easily we can find that. Good drive about 30 kilometres from Bangalore. Be safe while driving and enjoy the place.
