The Bangalore Karaga or Karaga Shaktyotsava is the most important festival that is celebrated inn the city. It is the oldest festival which is celebrated for 11 days with great reverence and fanfare. Kadalekaye Parishe is a festival celebrated to usher in the new harvest of the groundnut crop. Varmahalakshmi which is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi is also an important festival.
