It's no longer what it used to be once. The passionate wait over an hour just to savour the traditional dishes in the past most of us proudly did and later boast it to friends seems an era gone behind. The wait is still there but not the satisfaction. After the change of hands the quality and taste are not the same. They think just pouring ghee is synonymous to taste. Service has gone down. No one comes to you for refilling even if you shout from your lungs. Neatness is also dwindling. I think this place still survives by its old glory.
Food 4/5 Service 2/5 Cost 4/5 Ambience 2/5 Good place to have the authentic south Indiana food. Staff's are not that friendly and service is pathetic. Even the food options are very less and in evening, you have to stick to one or two from the menu. We had badam milk, which is one of the worst I had. It felt like it was prepared day before and was kept in refrigerator since than. If you are looking for a pure veg south Indiana restaurant this is the one.
Worst customer service and customer focus. If the whole world is one direction, this hotel's focus is completely in the opposite direction. They have designed everything to safe guard their interest. They only thrive on the customers patronage (god knows why?). Else they should have closed long back. God save them
A legendary restaurant in all sense. It is a bit expensive I agree and I believe that the experience this place gives is worth the price. It is not like they charge premium for the feel and the vintage ambience, the food is equally great here. The staff may not come across as too professional but they are sure courteous and attentive. Lunch as well as their breakfast varieties are a must try here. Avoid this place on weekends if possible as it is a little more crowded than usual. A must visit restaurant in Bangalore. Those of you driving cars will find private paid parking spaces a little ahead on both the sides of the main road. If time permits take a stroll in Lalbagh. Good luck.
Stepped up to have my lunch thinking of why 260 ₹ /meal. But they some what changed my perception with their authentic style of service and quality of food. If, not bother about money, can try once for a pleasant experience of eating traditional vegetarian food. Reason I am giving 4 star is because of too much cost. If you can lower the price, it helps lot people in hungry who are looking for good food.
