Shanmukha Temple - Review

Located in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, the Shanmukha Temple is one of the important tourist destination and religious places of Bangalore. Believed to have been created by Lord Shanmukha who deliberately chose this barren land as his abode, this temple is the first of its kind not only in the country, but also in the world. The main attractions of this temple are the Sanctum Sanctorum (Garbha Gudi) which is of traditional design, while the exterior of the Shrungagiri Shanmukha temple is of architectural design and the Temple Tower (Gopuram) that depicts the six faces of Lord Shanmukha.

  • Amazing place... It's very clean and beautiful. The view is breathtaking. Best time to visit the temple will be either dusk or dawn. Overall, we'll maintained. I like this place very much.

  • Very nice and serene place for divine intervention and spiritual experience, You need to climb bit amount of steps to go up as its situated atop the hill, so mostly elderly people might find it tiring or difficult, Very beautiful view from the top and good cool breeze to refresh you and cool you. Parking need to be managed properly and also a tap water needs to be installed for washing hands and legs before entering the temple premises. Must visit for a cool, pleasant, Divine feel and experience.

  • An amazing temple and divine experience. The location is very good and view from top is excellent. They have been improving the temple regularly and it is a must visit temple in Bangalore. They have plenty of parking and the charges are reasonable. The temple is not wheelchair friendly. It is a great place to relax and praying.

  • Must visit place. 180 steps to climb. There is other way to visit temple for elderly or pregnant ladies. Parking available for 2 and 4 wheelers. View top is superb.

  • One of the Pleasing Temple in Bengaluru. Very impressive location. One can spend at least 30 minutes. Better to visit in Day light to enjoy both Temple and Hill Top.
