Located in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, the Shanmukha Temple is one of the important tourist destination and religious places of Bangalore. Believed to have been created by Lord Shanmukha who deliberately chose this barren land as his abode, this temple is the first of its kind not only in the country, but also in the world. The main attractions of this temple are the Sanctum Sanctorum (Garbha Gudi) which is of traditional design, while the exterior of the Shrungagiri Shanmukha temple is of architectural design and the Temple Tower (Gopuram) that depicts the six faces of Lord Shanmukha.

  • A peaceful temple located at the top of the hill. The Shiva temple inside this campus is so nice and constructed nicely. Very well maintained temple with good parking place provided for four wheelers. The top view of the temple is good and seen from far surrounded by greenery. It comes within city limits and with a weekend visit.

  • The place is very good and well maintained. Parking also available here. The place is worth to visit after 4 p.m because of mind blowing scenery of sunset. And from here we can see the beautiful view of omkareshwara temple which is situated next hill point...peacefully place..
