Founded in 1808, St. Mark’s cathedral is an important attraction of Bangalore. The Bishop of Calcutta consecrated this Cathedral in 1816 and since then it has continued to serve as a beautiful colonial structure with a graceful dome over a semi-circular chancel. As you visit this cathedral, you will be definitely enamoured of the roman archers that grace along the walls. This cathedral also boasts of being one of the best-maintained external bells. What makes this cathedral a special place to visit is that it was modelled along the lines of the 17th-century St Pauls Cathedral. The entrance has elaborate woodwork and ornate carvings coupled with majestically done ceilings and domes. Do visit this cathedral for a spiritual retreatan otherwise bustling city of Bangalore.

  • Amazing peaceful church. For its great English service. For its pipe organ one of its kind. For the amazing sound it creates when songs are sung. Love this church. It is a must for everyone to come feel the peace and spend some time in the church.

  • Peaceful ambience as the Church should be... Loved the area.. at the junction of MG Road and Church Street...

  • Very nice Service. Reverent, Christ centred worship.

  • An absolutely stunning Cathedral at the helm of St. Marks road. Being able to pray here is an honor. The architecture of this church is Victorian and is a sight to be seen. Another inserting feature is the organ which has sound pipes from the erstwhile British Raj. The Bangalore school of music also has a presence here and I had the absolute honor of being trained by the late great David Sebastian.

  • Soo calm and peaceful......one of the best church in bangalore locatated in centre of the city.....amazing architecture ...
