  • Make sure you visit this place before 8.30 in the morning. When we went, it was around 9.30, and they wouldn't allow us in at first. We had to pay 50 rupees to get in, since they claimed that they close the gates at 10. The forest itself is very calm and quiet. It's a pretty walk amidst the concrete jungle surrounding the forest itself. The weather is also pleasant.

  • Reason I gave 5 stars is only because place is very nearby to Bangalore city , it is there in Bangalore itself. Only greenary is there . If you want to spend some time with nature within busy and dry streets of Bangalore must go there. Not much high mountains. Walk through the forest will be amazing experience. No entry fee to the place. In my personal experience a good place to breath fresh air in Bangalore away from busy life .

  • Nice place. The drive to the place is not good. But the forest itself is decent and you can climb the little hill and explore the forest. The view from the top is good. Good place to go for half a day.

  • Nice place for a trekking inside the city. The atmosphere is fantastic like and the property belongs to govt of India. There is a temple inside the forest. 4kms inside on the top of the hills which is fantastic. Recommend people to visit that Temple as well. Good place for nature lovers.

  • It's not a forest with wild animals. Many com from far off places thinking they will spot an animal. This must have been thick forest sometime ago, but now it's covered with concrete jungle and 2 main roads with traffic on either side. If we are lucky we can spot peacocks. But with vehicle traffic on either side of forest we can hear their panic. It's my personal request and wish to public not to go inside the forest so as to preserve the peacocks.
