Bangkok’s hidden gem, Airplane Graveyard is an ideal destination to explore with families and friends. Located just outside of the main town, the area has been slowly seeing a great attraction from tourists and locals alike. The Graveyard consists of some old airplanes and their components which are recycled and used again. While you are in this yard, you can explore the planes which are very pretty, so do not miss on the photographs. It’s also recommended that you take a trip with a tour guide to learn the history of this place and the context. An ideal place for children too, this trip can be a knowledgeable and fun one.
Airplane Graveyard Reviews & Ratings
- 200 baht entrance fee with free water if you’re nice. - There is a ladder leading up to the very top of the 747 but land owners will tell you to get down so be sure to get the photos quickly. - There are three different airplanes, none of which are whole. - Landowners do not react to graffiti so it’s a great spot for street art.
Don’t bother. Long drive and they charge 200 baht each to walk around. The photos on line are more interesting.
If you are into planes and aviation, this is a fun place to stop by for a few minutes. There is only like 4 planes here but it is weird to see a section of a large 747 in a field right next to a busy road in Bangkok. You can even climb into the planes and take a look at the stripped interior. Interesting to check out!
Really cool day tour for airplane fans. I especially found the huge 747 Jumbo Jet really impressive. It is easy to get there by boat.
It's worth the trip if you want to climb up the airplane wrecks. If not, don't waste your 200 baht for entry, because going inside the big wreck is basically the only attraction.
