  • Hi Nan,  I've been on the tour today as planned. (DT149) As I requested a travel agent discount, I thought I would be able to talk about it with the person in charge of collecting payments as you never retained about it through emails.  I wanted to do that as an adult and ask the people in Maeklong to contact you as apparently you're not the one running the tour. I don't think they called you.  Furthermore, I've learnt from the others passengers that they ALL paid much less than I was requested to: 2 from Holland paid 650 baht each, a lady paid 600, 2 French even paid 500 baht each!!  In the end, before Amphawa cruise, I got screamed at and threaten by a woman to be left alone in Amphawa if I didn't pay this too expensive and unfair price!!  This is totally unacceptable ! Working for more than 10 years in the tourism industry, I've never heard of such a behaviour from professional operators!  Payment of 900 baht has been done today, but I'm requesting now a refund to reach a fair price for this tour. I think 600 are more than reasonable for the service and the disrespect I received.  Looking forward to hear from you and find a solution in a pleasant way.  Jennifer Lavoura

  • While in Bangkok we did both the tour to the floating markets/elephants and the River Kwai. Having read reviews previously we absolutely knew what to expect - you don't pay very much for the tours with this company some didn't expect a full on tour guide with all the historical knowledge at all. We enjoyed it very much - few details that could be improved on. On the River Kwai tour a couple of us who were not riding the elephants were whisked off to have lunch early, so we did that but then we still had to wait for the riding to finished and for about 12 or 13 others to eat their lunch in the hot, humid heat. Lunch was ok - like others I wish it wasn't just planted down in front of us like no care was taken. It was hot and it was good but thought the dishes chosen could have been a bit more tasty and appetising. I do believe you get what you pay for and you really can't beat this price - 1200 baht for floating markets and only 1000 baht for River Kwai.

  • The actual tour to the floating market and River Kwai bridge were amazing. Ken was amazing! HOWEVER - This company did not disclose what elephant camp we were doing elephant trekking with. When we arrived, the elephants were in small confined areas, no access to food or water, and were hit with sticks with metal hooks. They tugged on their ears and they encouraged us to do whatever wanted to them in terms of photos - sir, stand, jump off. Etc. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

  • booked tour with elephants with 2 friends. prompt pickup from hotel, guide (Ken) was experienced and amazing. saw river tour, kuai bridge, and elephants. amazing experience and very well put together by Ken. only thing it can be faulted for is that the tour, which was basically a full day, is fairly expensive, but it was definitely worth it

  • Don't do it, the animals are mistreated and looked heavily sedated. It's an uncomfortable experience, I would never recommend. Go to Chiang Mai instead.
