Short lines (meaning they move quickly), simple menu, tasty food and a straightforward traditional way of doing it means no traveler will leave disappointed...unless they don't like this style of food. But I definitely recommend it. Chicken rice is good for even the pickiest people. Chicken, onion fried rice and a little sauce on the side. What's not to like?! Good prices too.
Avoid all the chain restaurants and fast food in the area, eat better food, and save yourself some money. Don't let the long line dissuade you; it moves very quickly. The chicken and rice is pure, simple, and delicious. Consider ordering two portions or extra chicken if you have an appetite.
Excellent chicken rice. Small portion so need to order extra chicken. Also recommend getting the liver and gizzard side dish which in my case was very good with liver being the highlight. Order comes with a free bowl of soup which is a bit salty but hits the spot. Come hungry as this area also has a ton of great street food which you can sample before sitting down for a meal.
The food overall is normal. I dint taste very special. There is a queue at the shopfront. The queueing time not really take time cause the restaurant using the sharing table concept. For those who 1-2 peoples usually is faster cause sharing 4 seats table. After read the manual, the waitress come and get your order is fast but they deliver your food might take sometime. Maybe due to a lot of orders to handle. They have their very own chilies sauce for the chicken which having garlic and chilies. I do order the strew pork meat as well. Without drink, total spend 100bahts. They have their own mineral water but price written in menu same like soft drink. Not sure it mentioned the correct name. The restaurant established since 1960. Maybe that time is really good food, or maybe I'm abit picky. Both food for me is just normal.
We arrived around 11ish and there was already a line outside, but we were admitted in in no time. Boneless chicken rice with sour and spicy sauce. Chicken soup that you can taste a hint of ginger and white pepper, yummy!
