An astonishing glimpse into Thai big-city life. We arrived around 1700, to find hundreds of runners making the most of the impressive cloakroom, luggage facilities. Then at 1730 people started to congregate, and in a turn of events that would put the most impressive London flash mob to shame a seemingly free aerobics session started from nowhere! A truly amazing place.
Very popular park in the heart of Bangkok. They have bike lane too. You can find some Pokemon Go trainers(like me) several times, especially on Community day every months. Sometimes, they're blocking the bike lane, so please be polite and tell them. Great park by the way.
Went for a running session here during the evening. Loads of people come here for exercise after work hours. Great place to relax and run. The whole track around the park will be around 2.5 km. There are toilets that you can deposit stuff if you carry anything over. Also light snacks and water shops are around in case you don't bring any water with you.
Sometimes it feels useless to write review and add one more rating to other 10,000 ratings. But this park is quite unlike other parks, especially if you are a sort of photographer who likes to capture life and people in public space. This is where you will see Bangkokians from all walks of life, participating in all sorts of activities - from the usual walking and running, to a more curiously fun activity like group dance class to uniquely Thai disco tunes. Don’t like to be in crowded spot? Step away from the main path, perhaps by the lake, and enjoy the moment alone. And oh yes, you might have a monitor lizard coming over to say hello...
Great green space in the heart of the city. A large park where's a running track which gets busy after work. You can practice aerobics and there's a lots of fitness equipment. Besides walking by the lake and admire the nature. It reminds me from the time in which I lived in the city back then 20 years ago and the Tai Chi to which I used to attend there.
