Mango Tree, Bangkok Reviews

  • This is a veteran establishment in Bangkok, but I remember better days for it...The atmosphere and decor is a mix between traditional Thai and modern, with a Thai band playing live Thai music outside. That is why it might be nice for tourists. The service is good and kind, But prices are expensive, relatively to the quality of the food. Most of the dishes start around 200-250 baht, and they are all rounded up to similar prices. I found other restaurants with better food and lower prices. The soft drinks and smoothies are really expensive around 100 Baht. In conclusion, nice for tourists, not for old timers.

  • Food not bad and reasonably priced. Had a fantastic waitress. Not a wide wine selection.

  • Nice place, the food is okay but the price is a bit too high for what you get. We were quite disappointed of the service since it was very slow. We were 8 people and couldn't eat together because the first dish arrived after 20 mins and after that we got one dish all 10 minutes that's simply not the sense of having dinner together. The place is okay but there are better and cheaper restaurants nearby

  • Don't bother if you want good service. The food took forever to arrive and the waiter had a poor attitude. Otherwise nice ambience and good food (what I managed to eat before walking out).

  • Food is not bad, although the standard of service is much less desirable, the appetisers never arrived despite repeated requests for follow up. No apology was ever offered. Service was pretty minimal, and it seems all waitpersons were only more interested in rushing the meal and turning around the table for next guests. This restaurant is definitely a very touristy place - as patrons, I am afraid you don’t really get what you paid for.
