I think the low rating does not do justice. Check out the reviews at trip advisor for a more balanced view. My personal experience has been quite pleasant, no feeling of 'you must buy' pressure from other shops. Ended up buying 2 highest quality fabric shirt and pants. Tip: you can request to put initials on your shirt but mention it when ordering as they can't embroider it after they tailor it.
Slightly cheaper than proper tailors but fall far short of minimum standards. I will share my experience, u judge for yourself if you want to try them. I will not be a return customer even though I have used them for the past 10 years. The standards kept falling to now being unacceptable. #1 - 3 dress-down Friday shirts where I requested sleeves to be shortened to elbow level, they did that but did not adjust the wrist cuff circumference to fit around the elbow. I can't button the cuff and they flare up oddly after I bend my elbows. #2 - I specifically asked for my 3 business shirts to be longer so they stayed tucked in the pants. They made ALL of my shirts short, like the 3 dress-down Friday shirts above which were meant to be left untucked. Despite having tailored clothes, I look unkempt because they keep getting untucked when I sit down and get up. The sleeves are also too tight that I can't comfortably bend at the elbow. Bear in mind I'm of an athletic build, not fat, not muscular, just lean. #3 - My 2 business pants ended up being tighter than my usual pants done with them 2 years ago despite specifically saying I want them looser. #4 - My wife's colleague provided his shirt for them to copy the measurement and make it larger by adding inches to the chest and arm area. It ended up tighter and unwearable. And they lost the original shirt so my friend lost a wearable shirt and money in return for an unwearable shirt (They managed to find the original after a month, depending on the other "lucky" customer who found the shirt to ship it back to us. To their credit, I think they took their effort to locate and pay the other customer). New shirt was still unwearable, we didn't bother asking for a refund. TLDR; Stay away, they do not meet minimum tailored clothes standards by messing up simple measurement (details above). They lost my friends shirt.
I Choosen a shirt design in his shop shown on a picture they provide, ask for discount of 200baht the guy wasn't happy but agreed to the discounted price in the end the shirt delivered wasn't the design i picked. Felt so cheated. Colour and design totally different.. Will never go back this pauls fashion. Sewing part out of the line too. Cheater tailor. Strongly advise not to tailor from them. First approach was friendly but when ask able to gvie discount they deliver totally different design.
On my past few trips to bangkok, I will visit Paul Fashion to custom make few shirts & pant as they provide short turnover time & free delivery to hotel. On my last visit to Paul Fashion which is my 3rd time, I was quite disappointed with the service level. The detail services is no longer there & I notice the staff tend to give priority attention to their regular customer. I was especially not please on my last encounterment when I have to approach a staff for assitance after 20 min and subsequently when the staff attending to me halfway turn his attention to another walk in regular customer and assign another junior staff to serve me. I just hope they aren't getting complacent with their good customer base due to its good review rated on respective forum sites. I would probably like to switch another taylor on my next visit, as I think others may deserve the chance.
I have been its patron for more than 8 years. And truth to be told, during the initial days, quality were exceptional and clothes were made close to perfection. However my last visit to them, were exceptional, exceptionally bad and terrible. As someone who had fair bit of tailored shirt, some areas of my measurements were skipped, for eg: my neck circumference. The first fitting was way off, which is fine considering i have pretty sloppy shoulders. But there are areas where there were excessive cloth especially the waist area and i looked like i was wearing an oversized shirt. Highlighted and had to come for a second fitting. The second fitting, almost nothing was addressed, except its more like my fit. But excessive cloth problem is still there. When i mentioned i do not like excessive cloth when i tucked my shirt in, i was given a lesson on how to properly tuck in my shirt into my pants. The resolution? He tried to lift the excess cloth alittle and pull down to cover it. Its like a school boy tuck which is not what i wanted. Hence i requested the adjustment again. The day where i collect my shirt, i couldnt try as im due to fly. Paid the remaining and they have the cheek to ask for tips. In the end, the shirt is still has excessive cloth problem. It almost felt like, there were no attempts to remedy my request. I wouldnt doubt the 4 guys are great tailors as they probably do it on their own as fitting usually take 2 days in the past. Now it take just one day, so its all outsourced. My sincere advice, stay away from them unless you have a mannequin body that fits into anything you wear. If not, dont bother. Im pretty sure the neighbouring shops offer better workmanship than them now.
