Rajawongse Clothier, Bangkok Reviews

  • Jesse and Victor are by far the best tailors for custom clothing in Bangkok. Their fabrics are great and their fitting skills are superb. I have made the mistake of purchasing clothing elsewhere and have never found any that fit as perfect as Rajawongse. I have at least 50 shirts made by them over the past 10 years and even with daily use, they are all in perfect condition. No fraying, no missing or cracked buttons etc. (shirts from the cheap tailors will fray after a few washes). I have many pairs of pants from them as well and they are all a perfect fit. (I once bought pants from a cheap tailor in Bangkok and the zipper is too short so it cannot be used for what it is intended for!). I have made 2 bespoke suits and I must say they are worth every penny. It takes a few fittings to get it perfect, but Jesse will make sure that the suit is a perfect fit. The best thing about Rajawongse is the service. They are always helpful to accommodate my schedule even if they need to rush orders to be ready faster for me. I recommend anyone visiting Bangkok to make some clothes here and you will not be disappointed. For new visitors to Bangkok, there are thousands of tailors trying to get you in to their stores, beware of any tailor who has people hired who stand outside trying to convince you to go into the shop. These shops are not looking for return customers. They will sell you inferior quility fabrics and the clothes will not fit properly. When you visit Rajawongse, tell them Mendy sent you!

  • I was in Thailand for 2 weeks and had a suit tailored by Victor at Rajawongse. The whole experience was very relaxed and I had complete faith in them to get things right. They guided me from picking a cloth from their extensive selection to doing measurements, to arranging the required fitting sessions. I came back once for an initial fitting, and then once more for a final fitting where I picked up the suit. They responded to my emails quickly when I requested an alteration to my order. The suit fits perfectly and I could not be happier with the product. Victor was professional and very patient, his gentle and calm demeanor made the experience quite enjoyable. My only word of caution is the store is tight and can become cramped with the many customers, be prepared to wait.

  • Tailor on Ten closed early so I went to highest rated competitor nearby and was not disappointed. Victor efficiently runs a very humble looking shop compared to some neighbours but don't be fooled, these guys are excellent. Only stayed 3 days in Bangkok so no time for a suit but got a batch of shirts done (3 short visits in total). Highly recommended.

  • My experience at Rajawongse Clothier is without a doubt my best experience in all of Bangkok. In recent years I have had difficulty finding cloths that fit and rather than purchase a custom suit in the United States or go over to Savile row in London I decided to come to Bangkok. Rajawongse was on my top five list of places to visit. Victor was outstanding in his interactions with me; the suits he made are simply amazing I cannot neglect to mention how satisfying the entire experience has been. Allow me to articulate: Victor offers a fine array of fabrics and I did not have to worry about picking suboptimal material, I picked the fabric for my suits and these choices helped to determine my choices for shirts. I had two suits and five shirts made. I had two separate fittings after my original consultation, Victor and his staff paid attention to detail at every step assessing the nuances in the way iterations fit and making sure I was confortable in the cloths. Finally, Victor knows how to treat his clients; he even took the trouble to make a dinner reservation for my wife and I at his restaurant. Did I mention that my cloths look amazing and fit comfortably? Victor has earned my confidence and upon my return to Bangkok I will go first to Rajawongse to pick a fabric or three.

  • Awesome tailor. Been getting clothes here since 2009. Reputation as one of the top tailors in Thailand. Lots of VIPs get suits done here.
