Santi Chai Prakan Park is located opposite to Rama VIII Park in Thonburi area of Bangkok. Sprawling over an area of 3 acres, this is a small urban park nestled at the end of Phra Athit Road. The park was built in the year 1999 on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of King Rama IX. The park is home to two of the famous attractions in the area - Phra Sumen Fort and Santichaiprakarn Throne Hall. Another specialty of the park is its status of being home to the last mangrove apples in Thailand. A number of cultural activities are organized at the park during November and December.
