Giant Swing is one of the historic tourist attractions in Bangkok. Built in 1784 and renovated a couple of times after the 1920s, the structure with its 88 feet height dominates the skyline around. The swing was used during the annual swinging ceremony, popularly known as Triyampavai-Tripavai, until 1935. Even though the entire swing was rebuilt in 2007, the original timber used for the swing formation has been preserved in the Bangkok National Museum. As the swing is not open for use today, you can stop by only to click some photos and understand its importance in local culture.
