A must for sunset views of Bangkok with sophisticated cocktails and outstanding service. Made famous from the Hangover 2, this bar is the highest in Bangkok and benefits with great views. There is no reservation policy, so arrive as close to opening (around 1700) as possible to secure the best spot on the cushions by the balconies. It is breezy at the top so you should not suffer too much from the heat. I have heard a lot of grumbles about dress code but when I was there, I saw people wearing trainers and casual shorts so I think they have become more relaxed. The drinks are pricey, but for the view it’s certainly worth it!
I think it’s a must see attraction in Bangkok. I was hesitated for which bar shall I go. The google reviews just beat me for times. Although, the drinking price is higher than usual, but it’s an extraordinary place anyway! I got a cocktail for USD40, but just worthy the stunning view of it. My opinion is being there before sunset, and the view will do the rest of it. By the way, I think the dress code is not that serious. Few guys wearing Trousers with t-shirts still get on board. So, I think trouser with casual fits could pass the code.
Awesome view, cool spot BUT: as a customer which just want to have a drink you are treated very rough and are forced to buy a drink (35€ each !) straight after leaving the elevator, they don’t give you time to arrive and calm down. Further there is no opportunity to sit down and enjoy. Much better I liked the sky bar “Moon Bar” at the Banyan Tree. Much more quite, good spot to sit down, friendly staff...
Great views with outstanding service.. arrive around 1700 but well worth it. Personally however, I'd go to vertigo and moon bar. Much better for food and just as high (to the average person)
Great view for one drink, but unless you’re ultra rich don’t plan on sticking around for a second. Be warned: there are two drink menus. They pulled a sketchy move on us when we first walked in by showing us only one of two menus where the cheapest drink was 2700 baht. We were pressured into making a quick choice. After we made it, we had a chat about cancelling and leaving until we noticed a group ordering from a second menu. We were reluctantly handed the other menu with drinks for less than a third the cost. I noticed other reviews talking about a dress code. For guys, it’s just about wearing pants. I had a pair of dirty sneakers on and they didn’t even give those a second look.
