The Yogiraj Shyamacharan Sanatan Mission was founded on 30th September 1991 on the 96th anniversary of the Fountain Head of Kriyayoga, Shyama Churn Lahiree Mahashaya. The founder Dr Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee, the World Kriyayoga Master and a Kriyayoga practitioner for five decades, founded this mission with the sole objective of creating Yogiraj awareness. The mission complex comprises of a stately temple dedicated to Yogiraj Shyamacharan Lahiree. He was a Householder Yogi who simplified the rigorous yoga techniques and unfolded the doors of yoga to make it accessible to the ordinary people. The mission is run by Sanatan Yogiraj Shyamacharan Foundation (SYSF), a renowned society that conducts satsangs round the year where a huge number of people gather to get enlightened about Yogasana and attain sublime peace of mind.
