  • We had 2 fantastic tours with company! The Sunset Nature cruise was very informative about the town history as well as learning about the environment around the island. Great sunset photo op! The Lighthouse Cruise was wonderful! Got to visit several different islands up close. Another great photo op for Lighthouse enthusiasts like myself. Thanks for making my vacation that much better!

  • We had a great experience! Even though it was a raw and rather chilly morning and I we weren't dressed up for 60 something degrees overcast, and with the wind because it moves very fast on the water it was cold. Luckily the boat is very large and had two large areas that are enclosed all windows, with plenty of coaches and tables and still full view of the ocean. There is a galley in one of them with lots of selections if one gets hungry or for tea or coffee. The staff was super, the explained everything constantly and kept on moving from area to area until at the end almost ready to turn back, we saw a whale! She was nice enough to come up a couple of times and one was very close to the shop and did a full deep so we saw the back of her tail very clearly. That is how they identified her, it's almost like a fingerprint. A large family of dolphins too stayed close for some time, plus seals, and lots of this little puffins. We also saw some other weird creatures I forgot their name. The trip took the entire morning since early. By the time we came back it cleared and it was a beautiful day. It is definitely worth the money. Btw they guarantee whale watching or you get a voucher for three years, so you will get to see one or hopefully more.

  • We did the light house tour. The ship left from the same dock as our cruise ship tender which was convenient. Good tour, informative guide. Beware, even on a warm day, it will get cold if you are on the outside section of the ship. Bring a warm jacket with a hood or hat.

  • We went on 4:30 whale watch trip last Thursday and it was an experience that us and our children will never forget! Before we left the dock, the captain announced that they had been unsuccessful at locating whales on the previous two tours that day so they were going to us out a bit further to a spot in Canadian waters. He let us know that this would end up taking a bit longer than their typical tour and that if we had plans at a certain time later that evening and would rather get our money back or reschedule that we could certainly do that. It was a fun and wavy ride out that took about 1.5 hours but as soon as we arrived, a pod of 4-5 humpback whales were located within about 20 yards from the boat. The boat basically idled for the next hour as we got to watch these majestic creatures swim around the boat and take shallow dives. They would disappear for a few minutes until someone would hear or see them and we would get to watch them in their natural habitat again. It really was amazing and even being so close it is still hard to fathom the true size of these mammals. All the while the boat crew was great, either giving out lots of information about the whales or helping people who were sick (and there were a lot of people old and young getting sick so make sure to take your dramamine ahead of time if you think this may be an issue). Overall we had an excellent time and our kids will tell you that this was their favorite part of their trip! The crew went above and beyond to try and find whales for us to see even though obviously no one can predict wild animals habits. We would definitely go out on the Bar Harbor Whale Watch tour if we are ever in the area again and we would highly recommend it if you are there during the right season.

  • The sunset whale watching was awesome. Saw dolphins, whales, porpoises, seals, and many species of birds. You should definitely expect to be cold, like winter, so pack a accordingly. We didn't see whales until the 45 min which was alright. When going on this tour one must keep in mind that all the animals are wild and will travel great distances. The voucher does help offset the disappointment if they do move. Would definitely recommend for children age 7+ or older.
