Ochsner Zoo Reviews & Ratings

  • This is a very old zoo with not much to see. They are updating things but they have a long way to go to make this worth going out of your way for. The park next to the zoo is nice. I commend them for the upgrades with the limited supply of funds they have.

  • Enjoy it every time ive gone for the past 40+ years. I still miss the rabbit house. I can remember fox, beaver, porcupine, the goat with four horns, the very friendly turkey. Things change but never my admiration for this place. Keep up the good work.

  • I hope when the renovations are done that it is worth all this waiting! We go a few a times every summer and in the last 2 summers there hasn't been much to see. I haven't seen the monkeys the last 2 times, or the bears, or the eagle, and I haven't ever seen the Otters, or the Lynx awake since they made the exhibits. The owls are really cool though!

  • Beautiful park! Huge shade trees and a nice little playground. The little zoo is a big bonus for the kids!

  • Always a wonderful place to visit. It is currently being renovated but you can still visit the animals. We visited the monkeys, owls, donkeys, prairies dogs, pigs, lynx, wolves, fox, and many many more.
