  • Everything was very nice and the rooms were huge. The entire place is massive, it's a Wisconsin wonder. I would definitely go back but bring better shoes for walking. Also I suggest you be ready to pay because they are a theme park more than a hotel and everything costs. I don't blame them for it but even the lockers by the pool are $8 minimum... My wife and I enjoyed ourselves thoroughly though.

  • Had an amazing time at this place, it has amazing three outdoor water parks, one infinity pool, 4 indoor water parks, arcade sections, go kart and many restaurants. I loved the Klondike pizza it was amazing, the cheese on the pizza tasted so good which made sense since we were in Wisconsin. All the rides, slides and water park stuff is amazing - I would suggest trying out the Hurricane ride, space loop ride (lost world water park) and the black hole ride which is a single tube ride. These are the best rides in the park. The fact that the parks are only open to guests makes it even better since we don't have to wait in long lines though the top three I mentioned can take a while to get into. Overall I loved this place and will surely consider visiting again.

  • We have stayed here four times now. Never even bother looking for other options. This place has its own water parks. 4 indoor and 4 outdoor. Plus go carts and arcades, etc. No need to leave the property! The rooms are nice enough. Tex-style with animal horns and knotty wood decor. Sometimes the rooms can be a bit humid as to be expected with the water parks and wet people / clothing all over the place. Still well maintained though.

  • Always love this resort! The chef and wait staff Tori at the Survivors cafe are the best! The Wyndham owners units are great. Always clean and spacious. We love our annual trip to the Wilderness resort. We will definitely be back again next year.

  • My family and I spent one night at the Wilderness and we had an absolute blast. I would love to give this resort 5-stars but I just cannot do so, and here is why: This is a family friendly resort with three large indoor water parks. Although the water parks were a lot of fun for my 2-year-old daughter, I could not help but notice the insane amount of alcoholic beverages that people were consuming. One water park appears to be geared more toward small children with a large lazy river surrounding it. This water park was best suited for my 2-year-old daughter and we had a wonderful time. My complaint is this.... If you have one water park geared more toward smaller children, it seems inconsiderate to have a bar serving drinks the size of your head. I witnessed several intoxicated individuals arguing, cursing at one another and eventually the cops were called. We moved our table to the other side of this water park and then had to deal with a heavily intoxicated couple indulging in lewd behavior that was entirely inappropriate for children to witness. WITH that being said, this hotel would receive 5-stars from my family had their water parks not been serving alcohol at all three pools. Just pick one water park that is family friendly all around for little children under the age of 7 -- with no alcohol, please. Aside from the water park fiasco, our room was clean and quite spacious. We loved Polka Dot Pots where you can paint your own pottery! We toured this entire resort, each water park and visited all the shops. Overall, this was a great stay with a few flaws -- over-serving alcoholic beverages around small children being the biggest flaw of all which will most likely hinder us from returning.
