Ciutadella Park - Review
Landscaped by architect Josep Fontseré for the world fair and spread over 70 acres, this green lung of Barcelona sits on a military citadel built by Philip V. The remainders of the exhibition like the building of Castell dels Tres Dragons, the restaurant, the lake and waterfall are still visible.
The plant house, the umbracle and the glass house are particularly notable and the stunning sculpture of "El desconsol" (Distress) is one of the finest specimens in the park.
Don’t miss out the mammoth and the bandstand on your visit. The park is ideal for picnics, bike rides and leisurely walks.
Attractions within the park include:
- Museum of Zoology
- Museum of Geology

Ciutadella Park, Barcelona Reviews
This is one of the nicest park you can find in Barcelona. The park might not be that huge, but you can do a lot of activities here. There are many table for table tennis. You need to bring your own rackets and balls. The bad thing is when there was a rain. Some parts were too wet and obstructed the activity. However, this is great place. It is located very near to the victory gate. And it is just 10 minutes walking to the beach.
A park full of activities, laughter and fun. We walked through this park each time we went out to explore town and every-time we saw someone doing something different. One night there was couples yoga, another night, picnics with wine and food. A large park, with lots of places to sit, bike, run or walk around.
This has to be one of the most beautiful parks in Europe or maybe even the world! 💗 👍 😊 🤗 The landscaping is so well thought out with a huge variety of trees, plants, flowers, grass. Park benches are in abundance and people are comfortable enjoying the beautiful weather with friends and family or even solo. It is such a spacious place with no large crowds or queues. Pet dogs are a site of beauty here too and like their owners they are friendly 😂👍🙏 a must visit to see all the sculptures too. 😍
Amazing park near the heart of Barcelona. You can spend hours in here without getting bored. Great place to chill out or simply look at the amazing statues, ponds, etc.
Great and big Park. Very good for a picnic or outdoor sports or any other outdoor activities. There are always artists on site playing music or painting... It's good for a walk, a bicycle ride, to go out with friends or with children. It also has many events organised inside.
