Hotel Lloret Rambles, Barcelona Reviews - Write a Review
Excellent service, lovely breakfast, great location. Rooms are on the small side but this doesn't matter much, as you will not spend much time in the room. You should be exploring the wonderful city! I've stayed here twice and would stay again.
Stuff was kind, the room was cosy and tidy, location was absolutely perfect. The breakfast was a little bit monotonous to me but abundant. I would say that it is an excellent choice in case of a short sightseeing.
Simple rooms and not much space but they were clean and since we were out all of the time didn't really bother us. Only problem really is the noise, really noisey 24/7 and there's no double glazing so you can hear everything which is a problem if you're a light sleeper as the city is never quiet.
If you get room 319, just leave!!! The staff is really nice and it's great location, BUT... ...rooms are tiny, hotel was under construction (no one let us know in forward) and it's extremely loud (we could literally hear our neighbours sneeze in the room nextdoor)... Room 319 has only one window. It's sealed and leads to some dark shaft with some kind of engine which makes constant noise throughout day and night... We cancelled our stay after one night and changed for a hotel room near Sagrada with a room cheaper, cleaner and threetimes bigger than the one in Lloret...
Wouldn't recommend this hotel. pro - nice staff - great location - breakfast included contra - small rooms (aprox. 9 m2 for a double) - extremly small beds (double bed 1.4m) with too soft mattress (you literally sink into it; had a backache every day) - tiny bathroom - room looks clean, but I had dirty feet after walking from the shower to the bed - thin walls (could hear the alarm clock from the next room and the people outside the door sounded like they were standing right next to us) - breakfast was very poor; disgusting coffee, little variety, no fresh vegetables, pastry was stale But the worst thing was that the whole front of the building was a construction site! We couldn't use the balcony, and we couldn't even open the door (sealed shut). There was no window either so it was very clamy in the room and the air was bad. And there was a tarp over the balcony-door which made the room even tinier and rather depressing. At € 100,- per night I would have at least expected a warning about this, and a price reduction. We'll visit Barcelona again, but we won't stay in this hotel!
