  • Cool spot and I seemed to walk through it a dozen times on the way to somewhere else. Always something happening there and events were being staged while we visited. Everything is so fancy!

  • To see the mayor's nativity de-constructed every year it's completely worth it!

  • This is a very nice square in the old Barcelona, unfortunately pedestrians have to share it with cars and bikes. This was the very ancient center of Barcelona, even in Roman times, as here was to be found the Forum. Later a church was built - St Jaume, but it was demolished to give way to the administrative heart of Barcelona in 19th century. Now this a good place to take some photos, to see the Catalonian flag and to feel the desire of the Catalans for their own country.

  • A beautiful square with many events, bars, markets and só on.

  • In the center of the Gothic Quarter dating back to when the Romans occupied the Iberian, this Plaza is as picturesque as it is relaxing. It's a great place to just kick back after going to a mercat (market in Catalonian) and picking up a bottle of wine / some beers, and some local fare. Go late in the afternoon / early evening to people watch and catch some of the street performances. Make sure to pay your local street performers! No exceptions! Don't be a cheap bastard.
