Petruzzelli Theatre - Review
Located in Bari, Teatro Petruzzelli is the fourth largest theatre in the whole of Italy.
The theatre was originally built in 1903 with the insides painted by the famous Raffaele Armenise. However, the theatre was completely destroyed in 1991 in a fire by arson. Rebuilt in 2006, the theatre as it stands today, lies in the hands of the city of Bari. The theatre reopened in 2009 with the performance of the Ninth Symphony of Beethoven. The theatre has since then bore witness to many such celebrated Operas, Orchestras and Ballets.
However, due to the poor economic condition of Italy the 2014 performances at the theatre were cancelled.

Petruzzelli Theatre, Bari Reviews
The theater is around 500m from the train station, it's one of the places that worth to visit in Bari if you'll be lucky enough you'll be able to attend one of the shows there.
Great value for the money; beautiful opera house, especially inside.
Lovely theatre. Shame Opera didn't have English subtitles. Enjoyed the visit.
Great interior, plenty of room for legs, quite comfortable seats and nice performance - all ingredients for lovely evening is here! I was at Aida with my family, and it seems that we were the only foreigners here. If you want to dive into local culture, it's one of the best places to visit in Bari. Sound inside is exceptional due to dome structure of the building: you can seat on the 5th floor and hear triangle from the bottom as it's just next to you. And don't worry to buy tickets for upper seats and sides, you will see and hear the performance from any point in auditorium. There's also a standing area at the top floor.
Historic teather. Some of the seats has limited vision (but nearly no vision). Has some acoustic problems; there is possibility to hear the outher rumor of corridors, doors etc . Has great decor and colours.
