Warmwaterberg Spa, Barrydale Reviews
The big patio in front of the main building makes for easy mingling and sundowners. In May the facilities are less busy and the resort thus has a tranquil feeling. The restaurant was pleasant we enjoyed our fish and chips as well as chicken schnitzel. The pools have various temperatures but the warm pools are obviously relaxing. The walk up the hill offers panoramic vistas. A variety of succulents add to beauty although its clear that there is an extreme dryness on the surfaces. By contrast the warm water source/spring seems to be in an never ending abundance.
Great place to stop for a couple of days. We enjoyed the warm water pools and the camping spots were well equipped (braai, electricity, water....actually warm water!) Plenty of opportunities for hikes or mountain biking. Just great to be able to jump in the pool after a day outside. Rates were cheap compared to other campgrounds and staff very friendly. It feels like the bungalows are being renovated, which is a good thing as some are oldish and out of style....
Awesome water. Average surroundings. I personally went for warm water. The location did not disappoint. Roman baths are great too (depending on which rooms you book may gain you access)
2 hot pools and 1 cold pool, no lukewarm pool. Staff is very curtuious. Nice rural vibe and hiking routes are good.
Always have a great time. Lovely family vibe. People are friendly and you always meet new people and often they return. Nice relaxing
