The Pawikan Conservation Center is a nature preserve located off the Subic Bay, about one and a half hour’s drive from Bataan. This centre is a government-administered centre that works towards protection of marine turtles. Over the years, poaching problems, natural predation, illegal trade, harsh fishing conditions, and climate change have endangered these turtles. This conservation centre helps breed and release the turtles in the sea.
