The park and house are on a hill, so they give lovely views of the town. The house was supposedly built to demonstrate the use of Bath Stone in architecture, and has a wonderful manor-like atmosphere. The architecture, in combination with the landscaped garden and the Palladian Bridge all combine to create a serene and rich trip back in time. In good weather, the park looks like something out of a British period movie; in bad or stormy weather, it looks even more so, with a touch of mystery.
