Theatre Royal Bath - Review
This theatre is quite prominent in the British stage scene, and perhaps the most important outside of London. Many West-End productions are given a trial run here before moving on to the big city. That’s not to say that the shows tend to fall short.
The setting is pretty intimate, so you feel like you’re part of all the action happening on stage. Classics like Fiddler on the Roof and Peter Pan are routine amusements, filled with slyly slipped in adult humour that passes above the heads of the children but will bring a smile to your lips nevertheless. You’re even given the opportunity to host your own show or conference at the next door “Egg Theatre”, a wonderful private facility.

A SMALL theatre, but lots of charm and character. Friendly staff and lots of interesting productions through the year. Very with a visit even sitting in the cheap seats. Watch out for a few seats with some limited visibility, and the box seats look like fun.
Old theatre in Victorian style. Visited with wheelchair user. Our seats were in the stalls .Not a lot of space for wheelchair which was parked at end of row. Other patrons had to squeeze past to get to their seats. There is off street parking for Blue Bade holders. We parked at Charlotte street parking which is free for Blue Badge Holders.Access to theatre is via accessible doors. A lift is available to reach stalls.
Such a lovely old theatre with a lot of character. The outside is misleading as when you get inside it is huge. Massive legroom in most seating positions that I could see. The show wasn't bad either. Staff were really lovely and attended to my every need.
Lovely venue close to loads of eating establishments. They have local groups performing as well as national tours. Good value tickets available if you don't want the best seats in the house.
Just saw Sasha Regan's all male Iolanthe, it was tremendous! See it if you can. The theatre is always lovely buy you need to be careful which seats you have as some are behind pillars, or so far to the side that you cannot see the whole stage! The ticket seller will help you navigate this.
