Thermae Bath Spa - Review
After a trip to the Roman Bath Museum, many a traveller has succumbed to a desire to be pampered like the ancients were. The waters are at a comfortable 48 degrees Celsius, but you can have so much more than a thermal bath. The spa’s many packages let you choose the manner of relaxation and the views from the roof top pool are unbeatable… especially on a clear night.
Try the aromatic steamrooms, the massages, the hot stones, the rainforest shower, or even the specialised pregnancy package for expecting mums. It’s heaven.

So relaxing. The spa experience is great. Had such a lovely time with the family. Definitely visit the rooftop pool with great views across the rooftops of bath. Indoor pool is also really beautiful. The wellness centre that's included in the price has steam rooms, ice room!, UV sauna and other relaxing things to do. We didn't have any extra treatments but they have a wide range. Maybe a little on the expensive side but worth a visit if you have some cash to spare.
Always a lovely treat, any time of year. I prefer to go when it gets dark as the rooftop pool is great to relax in (sat on the jacuzzi seats) with the contrast of the cool evening air and the atmospheric blue lights in and around the water. Watching all the steam rising into the sky just adds to the relaxing effect. The bottom floor (below ground) is a really nice pool with jacuzzi area too and there’s two more floor in between, with saunas and steam rooms with different styles essences. Better during non peak periods (week days, term times etc) as you can end up queuing for quite a while. Always a lovely clean spa facility. You’re also provided with flip flops, robe and towel.
Love this spa. Especially since the update the other year. Steam rooms and sauna level is ace. The top open air pool is fantastic on a clear evening too. Service is good. Best to book though. The queue outside can be up to 2 hours at busy periods. Definitely use the train offer too to double your time of you can.
Great spot to see how we bath in modern times after seeing how the Romans rolled. Fun indoor pool with lazy river, rooftop pool with fantastic views, and a great variety of steam rooms and ice room(delightful). And of course that's all standard rate. If you're able and inclined to go for special treatments I'm sure it goes up from there.
The staff was very friendly and helpful regarding the MANY questions I had to ask. The facilities were clean and well labeled. I never felt confused or overwhelmed. I can confidently say this is the best spa I have ever been to (and I have been to many). It was my boyfriend’s first time going to a spa and he really enjoyed it. We just did the new bath two hour package and had a wonderful time in both pools and in the treatment rooms. Particularly loved the steam rooms with aromatherapy and the rooftop pool—what a view!
