Reid State Park- Maine is a gorgeous park in Georgetown. It's not the most grandiose, dramatic landscape, but the contrast of the land and sea is striking. It is one of Maine's few sandy beaches where the rugged rock-strewn coastline hugs the eastern shore. Flies can get aggressive, as there is ample brackish water; so, you should bring a repellent spray. If you have the chance to visit this beautiful part of Maine, do go.

Reid State Park-maine Reviews & Ratings
Too beautiful! Big gorgeous beach and stunning views of the sea from the rocks. Lots of beautiful rock formations as well. Great bathrooms and picnic areas. Lots of biting flies though, which I am not familiar with bring from out of state!
Great views! Lots of open space. Enjoyed the preservation of nature and had a great day at the beach. We searched the rocks for lots of creatures and enjoyed looking at all the different types of seaweed. Enjoyed building forts with the drift wood. Amazing bath houses.
Reid State Park is a beautiful park! It is a great place for a family day trip. Whether chilling on the beach or exploring on rocks, this park is beautiful and full of adventure. On the beach you can find tons of kelp, cool rocks, crabs, and occasionally a few pieces of sea glass. On the rocks you can explore tidal pools (at low tide) and view nearby islands. Reid State Park is very picturesque and breathtaking. One of my favorite things was to sit high on the rocks and listen to the crashing waves and feel the cool sea breeze. Overall Reid State Park is a great place to take your family for the day and have fun.
Great little park with an amazing sand beach. Nice change facility. Rocky beach portion is very beautiful with an amazing vista across bay to the north. Wetlands are nice but the mosquitoes can be oppressive there or at top of beach next to wetlands.
I've been going here since I was a kid and now I bring my family! I have always loved Reid State Park! Prices are great too. 11 dollars for my family
