Andromeda Botanic Gardens - Review
The non-sandiest popular attraction of the island, the Andromeda Botanic Gardens paints a pretty picture. In fact, this huge botanic garden lines most of Bathsheba’s east coast. Spread over 6 acres, the initial initiation of the gardens started off as a personal hobby of the resident of the estate in 1954. It was opened to the public a few years after and since then there’s been no looking back. Most of the flora you’ll comeacross here is indigenous to the region.

Andromeda Botanic Gardens, Bathsheba Reviews
A perfect way to enjoy an afternoon with friends and family. A stunning variety of specimens presented in a low key, tasteful way. I thought the palm grove was especially interesting. Don't miss the cafe for homemade drinks and light snacks in an open air porch, digesting the beauty and variety you just enjoyed. Staff, as so often in Barbados, just incredibly open and engaging. Don't miss it.
Such a beautiful place with so many interesting plants and flowers. You also get all the facts about what each plants/flower/tree/palm can be used for. An extra plus for the girl working there, she was extremely friendly so we hung out and talked to her for some time while drinking super good home made lemonade and having really good coffee. After your visit you can easily walk down to Bathsheba and enjoy the beautiful beach there and eat at Seaside Bar which have really good fish.
If you are interested in tropical plants from around the world, and the interesting story of how these gardens started, you should go for a visit. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and answered questions with true pride for the work they do. Worth the time.
Lovely botanical gardens situated at Bathsheba. Great staff who provide refreshments and cakes (delicious). Tasteful gift shop. Gardens themselves have a wide range of tropical plants and are looked after well.
This place is magical. You need to spend time and appreciate.
