Just like its name, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Centre is quite a unique place to visit in Baton Rouge. The nature center is spread over an area of 103 acres and dedicated to the sectors of education, recreation, and conservation. The place is home to a 9500 square foot building- which is also a highlight of the nature center. Despite being a museum, the exhibits here are all inclusive with live animals, photographic presentations, mineral displays and more. Travelers who like to spend time amidst nature will find a lot to explore here. The center houses hundreds of birds and animals including rabbits, raccoons, opossums, foxes, squirrels, deer, otter and what not. With over mile-long gravel paths replete with visual delights, rich wildlife, and scenery of hardwood forests, the center has been fulfilling its role in connecting people to the environment and educating them about it successfully. There are a number of programs that take place throughout the year. If you are interested in participating in one of these camps, just contact the authorities and create some good memories of adventure and fun in Baton Rouge.
