Baton Rouge’s one of the must-visit destinations is Louisiana State University, which is also the largest University in the city. Established in 1853, the place is currently home to more than 250 buildings settled nicely over a land of 650 acres. During weekdays, the place bustles with visitors and students who are quite friendly and would interact with you if you want. Not only that, the campus itself is very beautiful, filled with lush greenery and varied plants and birds. One can easily spend here a few hours walking around and relishing the sights of nature. For the likes of bird watchers and recluse, the University makes for a perfect destination to hang out in. If that’s not enough, one can meander around the surrounding area of Pineville where plenty of shops and food places are ready to provide you indulgence. Make sure to come here during your city trip!

Louisiana State University Reviews & Ratings
I knew someone who went to Louisiana State University. They talked all about the sciences and about this place. I really think this is a great school. Driving through the area I could really see Baton Rouge as being a very cool place to live in. What a cool looking place all around!
As a college, it's fine but I graduated with a bachelor's in Biology and in hindsight it was a huge waste of time and money. Now I'm depressed and feel like no matter how much I work I'll never amount to anything. On the plus side, although I lived like a hobo and didn't allow myself to go out to local events more than a handful of times over the course of my degree, I graduated debt free.
This university is the most family friendly, supportive and organized school we have ever toured. Learned quickly the reason NO OTHER school had a chance of our children's admission. We have no complaints!! Recommend putting on top of list for attending.
I love this university. The campus is beautiful. I love the tiger exhibit and the mascot.
Loved going here for undergrad!
