Repentance Park is a beautiful park located between the River Centre and the Old State Capitol in downtown Baton Rouge. It is full of greenery and lush surrounding making itself a perfect destination to enjoy nature. Here you will find two acres of green land with paved paths and over 120 mini water jets. There is plenty of open space for individuals to do their own activities. One can enjoy games like Frisbee, toss ball, badminton and such. The lesser active ones can simply lie down and read a book or even bird watch if they want. The quiet and calm environment is suitable for picnicking especially for families visiting together. As for other options, a sunken mid-century plaza sits amidst the park as a means to connect with the modern aspects of the city. Repentance Park Reviews & Ratings

  • Cool spot. The USS Kidd is located here and a neat back drop for the park. There is a nice path to walk along the water, neat art and a great fountain. There is small grass areas to play catch and lounge. It's pretty unique how they have a staircase that goes right down into the water all along the waterfront. My family really enjoyed area.

  • This is had slowly become my favorite part of downtown baton rouge! Its nice for going on walks. It always nice to go see the Mississippi river and just sit there and people watch, read a book or listen to music. Some people fish, work out, have picnics and enjoy family friendly time.
