Kinta Nature Park is the largest bird sanctuary in Malaysia. It is spread across a huge area of 900 hectares which was once a tin mining land. This oasis is a home to many water-birds and a variety of wildlife species. It supports over 80 species of flora and fauna. The Lake Pucung is the largest pond in the park spread over a vast expanse of 41 hectares. This is the visitor’s area which also has an observation tower from where you can see families of herons and egrets wandering freely over the clean waters. A scenic place that makes you feel closer to nature, Kinta Nature Park deserves a visit when you are in the neighbourhood.
